Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Super King Markets collects when you visit superkingmarkets.com, how we use it, the choices you have, and your privacy rights, including rights under California law. This site is a brand and store-information site, not an online store: you can browse store information, find a location, and build a shopping list to print or email yourself. Purchases happen on separate services such as ShopSK and Instacart, which have their own privacy policies.

The short version. We keep tracking to a minimum. We use only first-party Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. We do not run advertising pixels, we do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not record your screen or your session. We ask for your consent before analytics cookies are used, and you can change your choice at any time.

Section 1 - Information We Collect

When you visit the site we collect a limited amount of information automatically through our analytics, including your approximate location at the city or region level, the pages you view, the links you click, the type of device and browser you use, and the date and time of your visit. This information is collected through cookies and similar technologies only after you have given consent through our cookie banner.

If you choose to email yourself a shopping list, you enter an email address so the list can be delivered. We use that address only to send the list you requested.

We do not ask you to create an account on this site, and we do not collect payment card information here because no purchases happen on this site.

Section 2 - Analytics & the Tools We Use

We use Google Analytics 4 as a first-party analytics tool to measure site traffic and improve the site. Our single analytics property uses the measurement ID G-EXFWBS5MDW. This is the only analytics or tracking tool on the site.

We have configured our analytics to protect your privacy: Google Signals (which links analytics data to Google advertising profiles) is turned off; email redaction is on, so any email address that might appear in a web address is removed before it is stored; and query-parameter redaction is on for sensitive keys including email, phone, name, address, zip, date of birth, government identifiers, and passwords, so that information is stripped out and not stored.

We do not use Google Tag Manager, Meta or Facebook pixels, the Microsoft Clarity session recorder, The Trade Desk, LiveIntent, or any other advertising, marketing, or session-recording technology on this site. We do not allow third-party advertising networks to place tracking tags on this site.

Section 3 - Cookies & Your Consent

We use a cookie consent banner to give you control over analytics cookies. The banner lets you accept or decline analytics, and you can return at any time to change your choice. Our analytics is configured so that it respects your consent choice before it collects any data.

If you decline, we honor that choice and analytics cookies are not used for your visit. Certain cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function may still be used, because the site cannot work without them, but these do not track you across other websites.

Section 4 - Global Privacy Control

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or a browser extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of any sale or sharing of your personal information and to limit tracking, without you needing to take any further action.

Section 5 - How We Use Information

We use the limited information we collect to operate and improve the site, to understand which pages and features are useful, to fix problems, to keep the site secure, and to deliver a shopping list to you when you ask us to email one. We do not use this information to build advertising profiles or to target you with ads.

Section 6 - How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not share your personal information with advertising networks for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We share information only with service providers who help us run the site, such as our website platform and our analytics provider, and only so they can perform those services for us. We may also disclose information if required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Super King Markets, our customers, or the public.

When you click links that take you to a third-party site or service, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our Terms of Use. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

Section 7 - Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose about you;
  • Request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions;
  • Correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you;
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information;
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information; and
  • Not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of these rights.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. Although we do not sell your personal information for money, some privacy laws define "sale" and "sharing" broadly to include certain uses of analytics and online identifiers. To make your choice simple, use our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page, or decline non-essential cookies in our banner. Using that link withdraws your consent to analytics and signals that you do not want your personal information sold or shared. We also honor the Global Privacy Control signal automatically.

How to exercise your rights. To exercise your right to know, delete, or correct, contact us using the details below. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, and we may ask the agent to show proof you gave them permission to act for you.

Section 8 - Children's Privacy

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Section 9 - Data Retention & Security

We keep analytics information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, and we apply the redaction settings described above so that sensitive information is not stored. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the limited information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Section 10 - Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and post the revised policy on this site.
