California Proposition 65
California's Proposition 65 (the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986) requires businesses to provide warnings about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. The following warnings apply to products sold at Super King Markets.
WARNING: Consuming this product can expose you to chemicals including acrylamide, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer, and acrylamide, which is known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm.

California's Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings before knowingly and intentionally exposing anyone to a listed chemical. The State of California maintains a list of chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. This list, which must be updated at least once a year, has grown to include approximately 900 chemicals since it was first published in 1987.
A Proposition 65 warning does not necessarily mean a product is unsafe or illegal. It means that the business has evaluated the potential exposure and determined that it requires a warning under California law, or has chosen to provide a warning out of an abundance of caution.
